Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church is located in Corpus Christi, Texas and is a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi. The church was dedicated on May 14, 1972 as a mission - first affiliated with St. Theresa, then St. Anthony. It was officially raised to parish status on March 1, 1977.
Father James Hamilton was the priest in charge from 1969 to 1974. Late in 1969, Masses were held in a private residence, then moved to the current property. Father Marcos MartÃnez became the first pastor in 1977.
Today, Our Lady of the Rosary has active ministries, including a Religious Education Program and Vacation Bible School for the children in the area. The parish recently received a new Pastor, Father Gabriel P. Coelho, appointed by Bishop Michael Mulvey, effective July 1, 2013.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mission church property was donated to the Diocese of Corpus Christi under Bishop Garriga and the current church building was built in 1972.
Saint Vivian Mission church property was donated to the Diocese in 1969 under Bishop Drury. Saint Vivian Mission completed a major renovation in 2005.
